Flamenco dancing uses sweeping arm movements, clapping and rhythmic feet stomping, and is a highly expressive Spanish dance form.

Our flamenco dancing classes offer:

Our flamenco dancing classes also develop their motor function, muscular activity and listening skills in a fun and creative environment.
They will also learn about the flamenco music culture.
Dance shoes with a small heel are required.

BEGINNER I/II
Beginner I/II
As a beginner, you will start by learning a lot about different flamenco dancing techniques: hands and arms movements, feet stomping and clapping. You will be introduced to the 12/8-meter compás, which can be a bit difficult in the beginning to follow, but normally lots of fun as well to learn.
Dance choreography, Spring 2024:
Beginners I: A slow, romantic and beautiful bulerías: A la ventana.
Beginners II: A seductive and warm guajiras with a fan.
MEDIUM I/II
Medium I/II
At medium I/II, you will continue to work and develop you flamenco skills.
You will leans about structure: letra, falsetas, escobillas, llamadas, etc.

BATA DE COLA/THE LONG TAILED DRESS
Bata de cola / the long tailed flamenco serpent dress: this class requires a bata de cola. You have to have been dancing flamenco for some time to join this class; we will focus on techniques with the bata de cola, and it is expected that you already have a level of footwork and knowledge of body posture.
